30/30 The iPhone App That Helps You Change Unproductive Habits And Adopt The Productive Ones - Task manager, habit former, countdown timer all in one - This cool looking, functional, fun iPhone app will help you get things done faster and on a regular basisName of the app: 30/30. Price: Free.

I’m constantly on the lookout for apps that can help me do more in less time.

Or help me force myself to “do” in the first place. πŸ™‚

You must have read everywhere how we humans are the creatures of habit, and that it’s a good idea to look yourself in the mirror once in a while and be honest to yourself about your habits.

I do this to myself every once in a while and it’s not a funny exercise. I realise how imperfect I am, how much I like to procrastinate sometimes, like really delay stuff that I don’t like doing. But beating yourself up can only get you so far.

Once you realise which habits you want to change – you need an app for that.

What I found works for me is that I need to clearly set out which stuff I need to do on a consistent basis, such as daily, to get to where I want to be.

So that might be: write a blog post every day (not necessarily publish, but write), share stuff and engage on Twitter, take a break, repeat. That’s just an example, for you it might be something entirely different.

But you get the idea. Repeat tasks regularly until they become a habit. Then you become unstoppable.

This app enables you to:

  • create tasks for your daily routine
  • set up timers for each task
  • set it to remind you when a task’s time is up, and moves you onto another task (stop writing, switch to Twitter, etc.)

I find it really intuitive, and a pleasure to look at. The main screenshots are below:

The bars you see in the image on the left are your tasks, and the big round timer at the top counts down how much you have left of that particular task. When it reaches the end, it alerts you, and automatically moves onto the next task (which in this case here, is “Break”). πŸ™‚

You can add 5 more minutes if you need before it finishes, you can pause and stop, all with taps of the screen in typical iPhone style.

Adding tasks is a breeze, just tap on the two adjacent tasks and spread, and a new task will pop up between them.

Swipe right and delete a task, swipe left and move it to the bottom – super easy. There’s 12 pages of help as you can see in the second screenshot above, but you get how it works really fast.

The image above on the left shows settings which you can tweak to your liking. You can share your task lists with your colleagues, family or anyone you want. Auto-loop function is a cool feature as it enables you to loop tasks as they get done.

You can also set the iPhone to stay On while you are working so that you can keep track of the elapsed time and see how much you have left.

The image on the right shows how you set up the individual tasks. You choose the colour, the icon, give it a title and that’s it. You can purchase 6 more sets of icons if you want, but the ones you get free are totally fine to start with.

Can 30/30 App Change Your Life?

This cool app really helps you work through your daily tasks and the one-off items you need to get done.

However, it’s really up to you if you are going to finally decide that you want to get rid of the habits which you know are blocking you from achieving what you want.

In case you really want to change your habits, manage your key tasks and manage your time – this app is awesome.

But as everything in life – you must set your mind to change. An app is just an app, a tool to help you in that process.

With that said, 30/30’s cool looks, vibrant colours, nice icons, ease of use and functionality can really help you change your unproductive habits and implement the new productive ones, because this app is fun, and it works! πŸ™‚
